“Life really begins at forty. Up until then we’re just doing research.” ~Carl Jung
For many men and women, the first forty is best characterized by living out what the mythologist Joseph Campbell called, “The Heroes’ Journey.”
Heroes are driven to seek out challenges, conquer adversities, and carve out an identity through bold actions and personal achievements. This phase is about acquisition and addition, fueled by a desire to leave a mark on the world.
Through introspection, dialogue, myth, story, and poetry we will explore the power implicit in letting go.
